Craniofacial Maxillofacial SurgeonDr. Joseph Broujerdi is a Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgeon specializing in pediatric and adult facial reconstructive surgery. Drawing on his extensive training, surgical expertise and artistic vision, Dr. Broujerdi delivers desirable results and the best in medical care. Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and recipient of the Henry M. Goldman award, Dr. Broujerdi has trained in Craniofacial/Pediatric Plastic Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, General Surgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery.
His training includes a fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center/Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, residencies at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate/Kings County Hospital Center, Brooklyn, NY. He has been trained by prominent plastic, craniofacial and maxillofacial surgeons in the world.
Widely sought after for his research and expertise, Dr. Broujerdi has written many papers covering new developments in the field of Plastic & Maxillofacial Surgery, contributed to peer-reviewed journals, and co-authored a book chapter on Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery. He has given presentations and spoken at national and international conferences.
Dr. Broujerdi transferees his knowledge and experience in reconstructive surgery to aesthetic surgery. He uses the principle concepts in reconstructive plastic surgery that allows him to re-store natural appearance to face and body, to provide his patients in aesthetic plastic surgery with a natural and youthful appearance too.
Furthermore, he has sub-specialized in obstructive sleep-apnea (OSA) surgery. He performs the most complex surgeries including moving upper and lower jaws forward to create more airway space for air exchange during sleep. This technique has been proven to greatly help patients with severe sleep apnea.
In addition to his extensive experience in aesthetic surgical procedures, Dr. Broujerdi has devoted his own time and resources to medical missions in third-world countries, reconstructing pediatric patients with congenital anomalies and traumatic deformities, including cleft lip and cleft palate, and burn victims.
